Transparency

The rules on the transparency of transactions and of banking and financial services has the objective to disclose to customers the essential elements of the contractual relationship and their modifications, allowing for competition in the banking and financial markets. Information shall be made to customers in a fair, clear and comprehensive way, and appropriate to the form of communication used and to the characteristics of the services and customers.


The relevant legislation is the primary legislation (the Banking Act) and the secondary legislation (resolutions of the Interministerial Committee for Credit and Savings and supervisory instructions issued by the Bank of Italy).
